Blech. It's been great fun getting used to working 2nd shift again. So much fun that I haven't read my email in a week. I'm such the slacker. Basically, once I get home from work, I'd spend some time in FFXI (last week fishing from the ferry), then go to bed around 3am. Get up around noon. Get ready for work in a rush. Rinse, repeat.

Speaking of rinsing, my hives responded to the benedryl over the weekend, but I woke up this morning and they were much worse than before. I'm trying so hard not to scratch. I have a raw spot on my neck from the ones there.

FFXI...got set up to do a lvl 33 party Saturday night and couldn't find one. It was so bad, there were 4 WHMs seeking. We didn't stand a chance. I got tired of waiting and changed to Jez, heading for the dunes. Wound up in a JP party. I felt very alone, being on my side of the language barrier. We moved to snips a bit too early, and I wound up getting Jer to keep an eye on us and to raise if someone died. Got 2 levels in BLM, though. 11 to 13.

After the Baronial Meeting yesterday, I logged back into Jez. An LS mate had a party going on in my level range, so I asked him if he needed me. Insta-party! We were after snips. We moved around a lot, trying to find a camp with little competition and wound up on Whitebone Beach. Jerry was PLing us. After awhile, we lost some members, and we decided that Jer could go change to RDM and join us. Well, after he left we were fighting a snip, got aggroed by 2 sightseeing gobs and half of us died.

Jer finally returned, but our WHM got impatient and left. (She wasn't that great anyway, she was ALWAYS out of MP) We had a replacement quickly. After we got the party back togehter it was time to rock and roll. Got 2 more levels and I forget whatever else happened 'cause I saved this as draft and never got around to finishing it in a timely manner.

My first week back on 2nd shift is almost over. It's been nice to get home at midnight. Getting up by noon has been a challenge. My body is too used to sleeping all day.

I have a bunch of little bumps all over my arms and back. I'm trying to decide if it is:
1: Hives. Who knows what I'm reacting to.
2: Spider bites. But new ones are appearing at work.
3: Chicken pox. But I had that when I was 6...

I don't like any of my possibilities, so far.

This morning I woke up and found my 20 year old quilt that my g'ma made for me on Mikey's bed. Bad DH! If Mikey has an accident that's one thing, and usually easily fixed. But I don't want the cats peeing or hacking on it! It means a lot to me and has remained in the closet where it's safe for the past few years.

I've done nothing productive in FFXI, although I am level 33 now. I can use all my RSE now, but some of it's better for a mage, not a THF, so I know I won't be using the Savage Loincloth. I need to check the Seperates (body) and compare it with my Mercenary Captain's Tunic.

I've spent the past couple of nights riding the ferry between Mhaura and Selbina, fishing. Trying to use up the crayfish paste I made Sunday night. For all my time, I have one stack of fish. It sucks. I have seen the Sea Horror 2 times and the pirates twice as well. I'm safe on the stairs from the pirates, but not the Sea Horror...

Audrey has a cold. She's quite snotty and coughing, but still a smiley baby. She woke up early this morning and woke me up too, so I pulled her from her bed and we played a bit. I was trying to keep her sitting up. :)

Saturday we tried to take Phoenix to the vet, and he's still holding a grudge against me. He permits only me to touch him, and he doesn't like me trying to pick him up. Unfort, that's what is required when putting a cat into a carrier. We wound up with him peeing on the floor and standing on the bed yowling, so we sent the cats that were supposed to go this week instead. We didn't bother looking for Arizona.

We got a sedative for him for this week. He's still holding a grudge against me. He'll come and eat the treats I drop for him, but will run if I try to pet him. He also isn't coming to visit me on the couch or at my desk. I am bummed. I hope he gets over it soon, 'cause even though he's not a cuddly cat, I miss the surprise of his paws on my shoulders and him rubbing his head against the back of mine.

I'm tired of all the election bullshit that's going on. People at each others throats, people tearing down or defacing the signs of opposing candidates, companies running voter registration drives who are throwing away the forms of democratic or republican voter registrations, depending on who the registration company is affiliated with.

It's just so plain depressing, I want to move to canada and be done with these asshats.

I'll vote for these guys instead.

ETA: Thought IE ate my post, so I was going to be mightily upset. It's still here, yay! I have other crud to mention, so I'll probably make another post.

It's October and the temperatures are getting cooler. Soon it will be time for Trick or Treating! How much do you want to bet that for year 3# Mike wants to be Spiderman? I hope I can talk him into something different. We checked out the selection at Target and he got really excited when he saw the TMNT costumes!

On Monday we got my appliance adjusted. It feels better now and my neck doesn't hurt as well. Because Vioxx was pulled from the market, I'm taking celebrex. I hope it works as well as vioxx did. I go back in a month to see how things are doing.

I went asking around to see if someone would switch their November saturday with me (so that I can do with Jer to his HS Reunion) and it was a piece of cake. I even got my october saturday switched! Too bad I've already resigned from the alumnae chapter. Speaking of that, I'm tweaked that my resignation didn't even elicit a response. I know it was received since they built a new website. Just goes to show that apparently I wasn't the welcomed member they carried on that I was.

Oh, I suppose I should mail that card, too. I've been so tweaked I keep forgetting to shove it in the mailbox.

Game-wise, I've got all the advanced jobs except for Dragoon and Summoner, and I have those quests active. I haven't worked on any other jobs except for THF this week, though. Sunday night we got rocking in the Jungles, chaining mandies. But it got late (not too late, though) and we called it quits [no available tanks]. At least I think it was Sunday. Could have been Saturday. Nevertheless, one night was spent going after the carbuncle ruby, the other in the jungle.

I wound up calling out from work Monday night and then proceeded to sleep from 6pm-8am. Jer stayed home so we could spend quality time together. So we played FFXI. We had planned on farming, but an LS member needed a WHM at our level, so we figured why not? Stuck around until we leveled, and then we started nerfing the exp for the 32, so we were replaced and we left. Didn't do too much after that.

More people have been laid off from work. Joy. At least not in my department.

I got a bunch of books at the bookstores this weekend, so I don't plan on being too productive. One is a sequel to The Legend of Nightfall. It's been 11 years since that book came out! It's cool!

Stitch did something stupid last night. I reached back to scratch him and he rolled over so it could be on his belly. Problem was, he was perched on the back of the couch! Down he went, his paws wrapped around my arm...So I have scratches from my wrist to elbow.
