Friday night my heart beat got a little too freaky to be comfortable with. So after work I took myself to the ER. I guess it's a good thing that I wasn't having a heart attack, since it took FOUR HOURS for them to see me.
After an EKG, IV, blood tests, fluid drip, 2 potassium pills, potassium drip, contrast CAT Scan, and chest xray, I was deemed mostly ok. The dx was that my potassium levels were TOO low, which was causing the heart beat problem. The chest pain I was experiencing was from some bruising from some strain or whatever on the chest wall. I sat around for 2 hours waiting for the radiologist to check my CAT Scan... the attending doc had already written me up for discharge. I got to the ER at 11:30 Friday night. I left at 10AM Saturday. And promptly slept all day.
Kids are fine. They didn't even miss me. Heh.
Mery's Marksmanship is now -good-... for a lvl 30 RNG. I spent Saturday night running around Rolanberry killing beastmen. By the time our power went out, it was about 90.
Oh yes, our power.. I'm sitting there chatting with a friend and doing my shooting thing when Jer suddenly gets up and starts looking outside the window. (He was hearing a "pop pop pop") Next thing I know, there's a BOOM and our power goes out. Friggin transformer out front blew. So we shuffle around trying to get my geocaching flashlight. Then find a BGE bill so we can report it. They have no idea when a crew will be out. Crapola.
So we opt to go to bed. It's 230am. We can't do anything. Sure we found the lantern and batteries, but we can't play FFXI that way. We woke the kids up while kicking things, then there was a small commotion outside. We thought BGE had already arrived, but it turned out to be the cops. They were investigating in case it was the neighbor's stalker taking the power out so they can break in. The police called BGE and told them to step on it. Send a crew out ASAP. About half an hour later, a crew shows up and starts replacing the transformer. The noise initially woke Audrey up, but she was dozing. Our room is right there by the pole they were working on. Kiddo is still awake, since he's afraid of the dark.
Around 430 the truck leaves. I had just fallen asleep and the change in noise woke me up. Kiddo hollers something, wakes Audrey up. Ugh. Anyway, we still don't have power. I figure that they need daylight in order to complete and just drift off to sleep. At 630 they come back, and soon afterwards we have power.
Blah.
So since I went to bed so early, I wind up getting up by noon. We run our errands and do some geocaching. Found 5 out of 6. The 6th we didn't find because I had a 40ft accuracy and there were kids nearby at the skate park. Didn't want to look to suspicious!
Anyway, we got home, got the kids in bed, and I started playing. I still had bolts left on Mery, so I continued working on her marksmanship. I had just run out of bloody bolts when I got a link on the gob I was fighting. By the time I was done, 158/707. I was so close to dying. Ick. The good thing is that my marksmanship is now 96 or so. If I play RNG, it'll be capped for a few levels. Yay! So I ran back to Jeuno and decided to play Jez. I'd bought two of my elemental staves, Ice and Dark, and I wanted to use them. I started out at 50. By the time we broke around 2am, I was 52. Woot!
Then I did some farming of silk (drop rate sucked balls) and chips, harvesting, and chatted with Rhys.
So that's this weekend's fun and games. Time to read a book!
