I've been told that I do not update nearly enough. Complainers - this is for you. :p
Developments since June - Jerry and I are back together. Marriage counseling helps a lot! We've also ironed out a lot of things to work on when I join him in Texas later this month. Obligatory "date night" wether it be out or at home watching a movie; obligatory "self" day where one gets to do their own pursuits. Tons of other odds and ends.
Oh that's right, I said Texas, didn't I? Jerry and the kids moved out to San Antonio the beginning of November. Jerry's taken a job with Rackspace. Small paycut; but monthly bonus and career track advancement is good. He has family out there. I don't. We've rented a nice "garage townhome" apartment. We'd been looking all morning and this one place was the first after lunch. We instantly fell for this layout (even though the stairs are steep). They had a 1 floor design but we just didn't like it.
We have had to go from 10 cats to 3. Any idea how hard it is to choose -3- cats? I'm fond of all of them and have special memories of all. We placed Linda and Stitch with Jerry's sister; Dora with a friend of Jerry's; & Arizona with Jer's sis's "Big". Puck and Phoenix are out in TX already; I'll be traveling with Patches in a few weeks. I am working on finding homes for Hazel, Nibbler, & Shadow. It's difficult knowing that I must rehome them. They find ways to endear themselves to me every day.
You know how people count down the shopping days to christmas? Well, I have 16 packing days until The Move. I told the guys at work I would stay through christmas. My lease expires on Dec 31st so that works out well. The living alone thing with my cats is getting a bit... boring though.
Most of the furniture will not be going into storage. We'll be using my new dresser & nightstand for me; Jer is going to dismantle his bed and move it into the HUGE master closet so we can just have my bed set up in the bedroom; I am keeping one of the kids matresses - we're setting the other bunkbed up in Audrey's room once that gets down there; Jerry loves my dining set. I'm trying to carefully catalog what's packed into boxes so I don't go "searching for that one thing I can't find..."
I've been spending a lot of time reading and playing WoW. In July I joined paperbackswap.com and I have been addicted to swapping books ever since. I made the decision to part with 75% of my books and most of them have already been swapped for 200 other books I still need to read.
Jerry's been leveling toons on Gorgonnash now. At 58 we paired his lock and my mage up. He's got a rogue and a shammy as well. Redemption is progressing well into Kara, ZA, Mags, & SSC. I'm co-leading the Raid2 Kara. Looks like we've finally settled to a dedicated raiding group. As of this past weekend, we have Kara on full clear. We killed Nightbane for the first time this weekend. Netherspite went down for the first time the week before, as did Ilhoof. You could say that we have the necessary bosses on farm - one shotting everything except Nightbane this past weekend. We are hoping to go to ZA at the start of the new year.
Eili is 3/5 of her T4. We've closed running the Gruuls1 raid and it will be dedicated soley to Mags now. Gogo Chest! Week before this past I passed on my T4 helm to my coleader. I rolled low, but still one, but he begged nicely so I let him have it. :D Watch it, it won't drop ever again. LOL. I've been pulling Ferize into tanking duty sometimes if we're down a tank for the raid. I have most of what I need from Kara (except the helm) for her, so as long as we have another tank for Prince, I can swap Feri out for Eili on that fight.
Once I get moved out to Texas I can start attending SSC. I am planning on doing the SAHM thing for awhile. People are taking bets as to when I will get bored and go job hunting.
