Minor Musings

Just rambling stuff.

So I made it to Texas and promptly discovered that I am allergic to it. Record pollen counts ftw! Winter is usually my good season, too.

The weather in Texas is quite odd in the winter. It has been anywhere from just above freezing to 80s, and I have only been here for a month! It also apparently rains here, but I've yet to see it, just hear about it. Most days are clear, bright, and some are quite windy.

We found a place to play Buzztime (FKA NTN Network) - Buffalo Wild Wings. It's a sports bar, but they've tons of TVs and NO SMOKING so I'm keen to go often. Michael likes it there too.

This past weekend we went to the Botanical Gardens. They had two events going on, the Dora and Diego explorer garden (which audrey had tons of fun with) and Chocolate. Yum. At the highest point of the gardens was a little gazebo with a super view of the city. At some point I will pull the photos out of my camera.

I'm still unpacking. First things first, though, I unpacked all of my books. Well, technically my PC got unpacked first. Last night after a Shadow Labs run I rearranged my hardbacks so they where alphabetical by author and correct set order as well. Still have a lot of rearranging to do with those.

Yesterday I randomly discovered the two pillows that had been on my bed. I would have thought they would have been with the rest of the stuff from my bed, apparently not.

While writing my "books I read" list on PBS for January, I realized something. With watching Audrey during the day, WoW, and other random things (like sleep), I'd read only two books! That's just not right. So in the true spirit of myself, I have my fingers in 3 books at the moment. Hehe.

It's the Simple Plan Scooby Doo episode! <3

So Redemption-wise we've done pretty well this past month. We wiped the slate clean after the mishaps with 25mans pre-New Year and started over again after the holidays. In one month we've gone 2/4 TK and 4/6 SSC. Just this past weekend in SSC we downed -3- bosses for the first time, two on our first night on them. So we're doing pretty well! Jerry even got to go to TK with us last night. Super-under-geared (hey, he did hit 70 just a few days ago) but he is a resto shaman so Eric brought him with us. :D

Unfortunately, as a result of Jerry pushing to 70 and working on gear and attunement, my mage has sat getting dusty. My shaman passed her a few days ago. Yikes.
